Careers at Zatanna

Build the API layer agents are missing

Join the team reverse-engineering the request flows behind software that was never built for agents. We turn human-only portals into fast, stable APIs — and we're looking for builders who like hard systems, ambiguous problems, and shipping close to customers.

The mission

Make every piece of software callable by agents.

Critical workflows still live behind interfaces made for people. Zatanna watches how those systems communicate, reconstructs the request layer, and turns the result into dependable APIs. The work is technical, adversarial, and close to the customer.

Work on systems that have no playbook

The job sits at the edge of reverse engineering, distributed systems, anti-bot, and production reliability. Curiosity and original thinking matter more than following a familiar framework.

Own the whole outcome

You will move between reconstructing request flows, maintaining infrastructure, and supporting customer integrations. There are no narrow lanes on a two-person founding team.

Build together in San Francisco

This is an in-person role. The team works from the office five days a week so hard technical problems can be solved quickly and directly.
